F.A.Q

(Frequently Asked Questions)

How much does it cost for shipping?
Rates are variable for shipping.

How much time for installation?
It will depend on the size of the sunroom selected. Two people can expect on average 2-3 days for a smaller sunroom. A larger sunroom will take two people on average 4-6 days.

What comes with the kit?
All materials necessary come with the kit. Fasteners and sealants are also included.

What doesn’t come with the kit?
Related decking or concrete materials depending on structure of house.

What do I receive to help me with installation?
We provide easy, step-by-step instructions with illustrations, so you can easily put your sunroom together.

Why do you use Thermo-Flex glass more often than standard glass?
It’s easier to work with, safer, lighter, stronger, and serves as an insulator rather than a conductor.

Do your sunrooms leak?
No! Our seamless one piece system has a full neoprene gasket system with no horizontal seams.

What type of sunroom is best for my home?
Consider your home and how you plan to use the sunroom. Externally, which design will blend in best with your current rooflines? Internally, which design will provide you with the room of your style?

Can you make my sunroom custom?
Yes, and we don’t charge extra to fit our sunrooms to your home.

Do sunrooms get hot?
Sunrooms will get hot without proper ventilation. By installing windows, doors, and screens you can keep your sunroom more comfortable.

Can I heat and/or cool a sunroom?
Yes. If in the area you live in, you heat or air-condition your house, you will do the same with your sunroom.

Are blinds necessary?
Blinds or a cover isn’t necessary unless you live in a high heated area. Our sunrooms are tinted and slow down the build-up of heat.

How do I clean the sunroom?
There are polishes available for Thermo-Flex glass. You can use dish soap and warm water for inside cleaning. Vinegar also works.

Can a sunroom be installed on an existing patio or deck?
The sunroom can be constructed on a deck or a level concrete pad, with a foundation meeting local building requirements. Check with your designer/contractor for information specific to your area.

What colors are available?
White is the most popular color. Other colors are available upon request.

Can I add electric outlets?
We recommend you add outlets, so you can maximize the use of your sunroom.

What tools are required to install a sunroom?
We recommend a selection of hand tools including a hammer, rubber mallet, screwdrivers, square, level, tin snips, and driver tips. Power tools include a saw and a drill. A ladder to reach the sunroom roof will also be needed.
